On Monday 30th November we were delighted to welcome Peter Hull M.B.E to our school.
He spoke to the whole school in a special assembly about his achievements, and what qualities are needed to become an Olympic athlete. His philosophy focuses on 3 things..
Work : He told the children about the work & training he had to be prepared to invest over the years.
Support : The support he received from family, coaches & friends played a vital role in his successes.
Desire :To succeed you need to have the desire to win. After achieving four 4th places in the 1988 Seoul Paralympics,he persevered and went on to win 3 gold medals (all with world records!) at the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics.
He is pictured here with some of the children, along with his nephew & neice,Joshua & Millie who are pupils at the school.
