Happy 90th Birthday Your Majesty

College Town celebrate the  90th Birthday of HRH Queen Elizabeth II .

On Friday 10th July, College Town  ( along with the rest of the country!)  celebrated a very special birthday. We had been eagerly anticipating the events for some time now, and kicked off in style with a special assembly planned & presented by Year 6 pupils.

We started off the assembly by singing the National Anthem , then Year 6 showed us their PowerPoint  all about the Queen, and taught us some very interesting facts!

We finished by singing Happy Birthday to the Queen -she may have heard us all the way from Buckingham Palace...

After lunch, we went outside to the field: the gazebo had been decorated and there was bunting everywhere! It looked very festive. We sat in our classes, and had games & songs, then we had some party food.

The best bit though, was when Mr Francis did the Banana song-everyone joined in!

We have included a link for the PowerPoint below: Year 6 children planned  the whole thing themselves, great job Year 6!
