Down on the (Stone Age) farm
Year 3 visit Butser Ancient Farm
On Thursday 4th February,Year 3 visited Butser Ancient Farm to mark the start of their Stone Age topic.
They had the chance to become real-life archaeologists, and discovered what their finds would have been used for. They then used ancient techniques to create replica Stone Age jewellery.
They also had a go at wattling-a technique used by Stone Age villagers to build walls-very important at keeping out enemies!
Year 3 have returned to school full of enthusiasm for the topic ahead- we look foward to hearing more about it as they learn.
Many thanks to all the parent helpers who joined us on the day.
