College Town Schools PTA

The College Town Schools Parent Teacher Association is made up of parents from both schools, and our aim is twofold:

- Raising money for the school to provide activities, facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils, and

- Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.

Our members are:

-- All parents, guardians and carers of any pupil currently attending the school, and

-- All teaching and non-teaching staff currently employed by the school.

Events we run

Last year we raised over £10,000, which is a fantastic amount and goes towards items the pupils wouldn’t otherwise have funded through the school. You can see a breakdown of this in our annual report.

NB: Money raised by joint events (eg fetes) is split equally between the schools. Any money the schools raise individually with our help (eg sports days, Christmas cards) is assigned to the school which raised the money.

How you can help

There are many ways you can help us, from manning a stall for an hour at a fete you’re going to anyway, taking on a small task like folding tombola numbers while you’re watching TV, helping us get the ice creams out of the shed on Frozen Fridays, to joining the committee or running events. If you haven’t got the time or inclination to get involved, then you can help by donating items requested through the school, for example cakes for a cake sale, or bottles for a tombola stall. And finally, come along to our events and have fun!

We love what we do – we wouldn’t do it if we didn’t – and it shines through in all the events we put on.

PTA Lottery

We run a monthly lottery for ten months of the year (October – July). Tickets work out at £1/month, with half going to the PTA and half into a prize fund. At time of writing (December 2015) the current prize fund is £27.50 per month. It’s a no-hassle way of supporting your PTA, and you may win a prize! Please contact the email address below for an entry form.
